By default your birth details stay on your device, in your browser's own storage. The reading is computed there. Nothing about your chart is sent anywhere to produce it.
Two features need your birth date on our server to work at all, and both ask you first, in plain words, on the screen where you turn them on:
The morning line, because an email cannot be written without it.
The friend map, because it compares your dates with other people's.
Turning either one off removes that need. Clearing your browser storage clears the device copy.
