Both live on the Account screen in the app, under Your data.

Download a copy saves one JSON file with everything: what our server holds — your account, your plan, the morning line, any friend map you made, your invite code — and also the profile and the Ask history that live in this browser on this device.
That second half matters, because most of Zodiacs never touches our server. By default your birth profile and your readings sit in your own browser's storage, and the reading is worked out there.
The file is plain JSON, so you can read it yourself or take it somewhere else.
Delete my account asks you to type DELETE, then removes the account and everything keyed to it. We do not ask why.
If you are paying for Plus, the subscription is cancelled first, and nothing is deleted unless that worked — so you can never end up with a deleted account and a live charge.
These are the timelines published in our privacy policy:
Within 7 days — your birth profile, readings, outcomes and saved people are removed from the live databases.
Within 30 days — related records in logs and analytics are purged.
Within 2 years — encrypted backup snapshots cycle out. After that, none of your personal data remains anywhere.
No. Your readings are worked out on your own device and live in your browser's storage, not on our server — there is no readings table for us to empty. Deleting your account does not touch them.
Clearing the site's storage in your browser is what removes them, and that works whether or not you ever had an account. If you want to keep them, use Download a copy first: the file includes your Ask history from this device.
If you joined someone else's friend map, that entry is held against the map rather than against your account, so deleting your account does not remove it. Ask the map's owner, or write to [email protected].
If you cannot get into your account at all, email [email protected] from the address on it and a person will do it for you.
You do not need to delete anything. Every morning line has a stop link at the bottom that works in one click without signing in, and using it also removes the copy of your birth date that existed only to write that email.
